Installation
Installation is quick and easy.
To install:
- Open the .zip file.
- For 32-bit installations, navigate and run:
32-bit > install > setup.exe
- For 64-bit installations, navigate and run:
64-bit > install > setup.msi
- After installation, restart your computer and log on to Windows®.
- Plug the Eikon Digital Privacy Manager into the USB port of your computer.

Enrollment
Enrollment determines who is an authorized user.
High quality enrollment ensures a better user experience
when using the fingerprint reader.
To enroll:
- After installation, follow Welcome
dialogue window instructions.
- Follow the enrollment wizard.
- If Windows password has been set, enter
password in enrollment dialogue box in order
to have fingerprint enable Windows logon.
Note:
- Enrollment is necessary before using other
features of Protector Suite QL.
- Your fingerprint image is not stored. Only a
mathematical representation called an
encrypted template is stored in your
fingerprint reader.

Biomenu
The Biomenu provides easy access to Protector Suite QL
software features.
To launch the Biomenu:
- From your desktop, swipe your finger over
the sensor on the fingerprint reader.
- To scroll through the Biomenu, either use
your mouse or move your finger (up/down)
over the sensor.
- Tap the sensor to "click", or click the mouse.

Password Bank
Password Bank lets you swipe your finger to access
password-protected websites.
To register a web page:
- In your web browser, go to an account login
screen (e.g. ,hotmail.com, mail.yahoo.com).
- Enter your username and password.
- Before signing in, swipe your finger to display
the Biomenu.
- Select "Register."
- Hold the SHIFT key while swiping to register
more then one username/password
To access a registered web page:
- Go to the web page that has been previously
registered (the web page frame will flash).
- Swipe your finger to automatically enter your
username and password and access the web page.
- OR -
- Swipe your finger to display the Biomenu.
- Select page in submenu of "Registered sites"

Windows Security
Protector Suite QL allows for secure access to Windows
by swiping your finger instead of typing a password.
To log on to Windows with your finger:
- Log off of Windows as you normally do.
- At the Windows logon prompt, swipe your
registered finger.
To lock your computer:
- Swipe your finger to display the Biomenu.
- Select "Lock computer".
To unlock computer:
- Swipe your finger at the Welcome window.

File Folder Encryption
File Safe allows you to create encrypted archives of
important information you want to protect.
To encrypt a file or folder:
- Right click on the file/folder and select
"Add to new encrypted archive", or
"Add to existing encrypted archive"
(if a file has already been encrypted)
- Enter optional backup password if desired.
- Encrypted files are indicated by a lock icon.
Encrypted folders or multiple files are indicated
by a locked folder icon.
To open an encrypted archive:
- Double click on the file/folder icon you want to open.
- Swipe your finger when prompted.
To decrypt a file/folder archive:
- Right click file/folder icon from the Windows
Explorer menu.
- Select "Decrypt."
- Swipe your finger.

Application Launcher
Application Launcher lets you launch frequently used
applications with specific fingers.
To enroll multiple fingers:
- From the Desktop, swipe your finger to view
the Biomenu.
- Select Control Center \ Fingerprints \ Enroll
or Edit Fingerprints.
- Follow instructions to enroll additional fingers.
To assign an application to a finger:
- From the Desktop, swipe your finger to view
the Biomenu.
- Select Control Center \ Settings \ User Settings.
- Swipe your finger.
- Select Applications tab.
- Select "Add." and follow instructions.
To launch an application:
- Swipe the finger associated
you want to launch.

Fast User Switching
Protector Suite lets you switch between Windows
accounts with the swipe of a finger.
To set up:
- Set up Fast User Switching by following
Windows XP or Vista instructions.
- Each person should enroll his/her finger while
logged into his/her Windows account.
To switch users:
- While another user is logged on, swipe your
finger to switch to your Windows account.
Note:
- Works with Windows XP or Vista.

Security Tokens
For corporate users, security tokens generate time-limited tokencodes that are required for access to corporate networks and resources.
To add a token:
- From the biomenu, open the Control Center and select Applications > Security Tokens
- Click Add… to add a new security token.
To generate a tokencode:
- Swipe your finger to display the biomenu and select Tokencodes… to display the tokencode window.
