INSTALLATION ON YOUR MAC
Installation is quick and easy.
To install:
Download Protector Suite for Mac at
www.upek.com/mac/download
Double click the
ProtectorSuiteforMac.dmg file. Within
the Protector Suite for Mac Installation
screen double click the
ProtectorSuite.pkg file.
Follow the instructions in the software
installation dialog boxes.
After installation is complete follow the
prompt to restart your Mac and then log
back into your Mac with your username
and password.
Plug the Eikon Digital Privacy Manager
into a USB port on your Mac. |

ENROLLMENT Enrollment is required in order to use your Eikon Digital
Privacy Manager. A good enrollment ensures a consistent
high quality user experience.
To enroll:
After installation, follow the instructions
on the Protector Suite for Mac welcome
and enrollment screens.
Note: If the Protector Suite for Mac welcome screen does
not automatically appear, start Protector Suite manually
from your Applications directory.
Global settings (Administrators only):
The upper settings in the dialog box control whether standard Mac user
accounts can enroll, modify and remove enrollments. The lower settings in the
dialog box specify what type(s) of authentication will be required for login and
authentication.
My settings:
If you would like Protector Suite for Mac to automatically unlock your Keychains
during login, select the keychains that you would like unlocked at login and
enter your keychain passwords.
Note: If you are not familiar with MacOS Keychain,
see the Keychain section for more information. |

LOGIN SECURITY
The Eikon Digital Privacy Manager and Protector Suite
for Mac enable secure access to your Mac by letting you
swipe your finger instead of typing a password.
To log on to your Mac with your finger:
Log off of your Mac as you normally
do. At the Mac login window, swipe your
enrolled finger to log in.
To return your Mac from screen
saver or from sleep mode:
At the Authentication window, swipe your
enrolled finger to log in.
Note: Verify that Require password to wake this
computer from sleep or screen saver is selected
within the System Preferences > Security dialog.
To access secure preferences on your Mac:
Click the lock icon and swipe your enrolled
finger to access your secure preferences. |

UNLOCK KEYCHAIN
Automatically unlock your keychains when logging in with
the Eikon Digital Privacy Manager and Protector Suite for Mac.
About Keychain
Mac keychains can be used to manage your
passwords, cryptographic keys, certificates and
other sensitive information so that you do not
have to remember them. With the Eikon Digital
Privacy Manager and Protector Suite for Mac, you
can unlock your keychains during login with a
single swipe of your finger.
To unlock your keychains during login:
Select Change my settings within Protector
Suite for Mac. Select the keychains that you
would like unlocked at login and enter your
keychain passwords. |

FAST USER SWITCHING
The Eikon Digital Privacy Manager and Protector Suite
for Mac makes fast user switching more convenient and secure.
Enroll each user:
For each user account on your Mac, log in and
enroll each user within Protector Suite for Mac.
See the Enroll section for more information.
Note: Additional users can also be enrolled when
logged in as an Administrator by selecting Manage
other users within Protector Suite for Mac.
Enable fast user switching:
Open System Preferences and click Accounts.
Click the lock icon and swipe your enrolled finger
in the Authentication window. Click Login Options
and select Enable fast user switching.
Using fast user switching:
Click the name in the upper right corner of the
menu bar to select another user to switch to. That
person can now swipe their finger to log in. |
