
UPEK offers the following development kits for Windows
development environments through the
UPEK Partner Program:
VT Toolkit
The VT Toolkit provides a quick and easy way to integrate biometric user verification into software and web applications using an ActiveX control. VT Toolkit is supported by programming languages that support ActiveX controls, including VBScript and JavaScript. VT Toolkit supports user verification and passport functionality for storing user data, it does not support new user enrollment. VT Toolkit supports Windows environments where Protector Suite QL software is installed.
VTAPI+
The VTAPI+ SDK provides an interface to manage user level biometrics and pre-boot authentication. The VTAPI+ SDK supports user fingerprint enrollment, verification and biometric management as well as biometric device management. The VTAPI+ SDK supports Windows environments where Protector Suite QL or the Standalone PBA infrastructure (SPBA) is installed.
BioAPI
The BioAPI SDK provides a fingerprint-based authentication service that is compliant with the BioAPI specification version 1.1. The BioAPI SDK supports Windows environments and requires that the BioAPI infrastructure be installed.
IAAPI and Perfect Print
The IAAPI and Perfect Print SDKs provide low-level image access interfaces for UPEK sensors. The IAAPI and Perfect Print SDKs support Windows environments.
Linux Development Kits
UPEK supports development of custom applications through the BioAPI, the industry standard Application Programming Interface that enables interoperability with biometric solutions. UPEK currently sells SDKs that contain a Bio-API BSP based on the 1.1 Framework standard. To download, please go to Linux Development Kits.
