notebooks with integrated TouchStrip
solution and IBM
Embedded Security
Subsystem (ESS)
allow users to
require both fingerprint and password authentication
for the most secure PCs available or, alternatively, to
replace multiple
passwords with the swipe of a finger.
The password replacement feature requires
configuring
ESS to allow fingerprint authentication as an alternative to
password authentication. |
UPEK's solutions balance performance, size and usability, and UPEK offered
the quality IBM demands from all its vendors. In testing, IBM required a
high-performance fingerprint reader that wouldn't add bulk or require a
change to the weight or dimensions of the system. UPEK worked closely with
